Six undergraduate students from SPIRE’s partner institutions were engaged in original research projects mentored by SPIRE postdoctoral scholars for a 10-week summer research experience. Students also participated in weekly professional development sessions, a journal club, a GRE preparation course, and social activities in conjunction with other summer research programs on campus. The students’ presented their research at the Summer Undergraduate Pipeline Research Symposium on July 26, 2017.
