NIH New Innovator Award - Dr. Karin Pfennig

Former SPIRE fellow Dr. Karin Pfennig was recently awarded the prestigious 2008 National Institutes of Health New Innovator Award. The award, one of 31 awarded this year, is for $1.5 million in direct costs for five years. Dr. Pfennig's work focuses on the origins and maintenance of context-dependent behavior to determine factors that generate environmental sensitivity and evaluate the genetic and environmental factors that contribute to the maintenance and expression of condition-dependent behavior within and across populations.
