SPIRE scholars participated in a 2.5 day CUREnet Institute along with faculty from 11 institutions May 17-19, 2018 at SPIRE’s partner institution, North Carolina Central University. The CUREnet Institute was facilitated by Dr. Erin Dolan, professor at the University of Georgia. The Institute provided opportunities for scholars to learn about the benefits of course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) and time to plan, develop and gain feedback on their own CURE courses. The Institute was hosted by Dr. Gail Hollowell at NCCU and funded by the National Science Foundation.
