Annual IRACDA Conference

SPIRE scholars and program administrators attend and participate in an annual conference gathering all funded programs by the special Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA).

The conference gives those with the common career goal of incorporating research and science education, a chance to come together and share experiences and challenges. Workshops on grant writing, pedagogy, job seeking, and diversity are often part of the agenda, as well as overviews and updates from the National Institutes of Health on funding status and other postdoctoral issues.

The Annual IRACDA Conference is hosted by IRACDA programs on a rotating basis and occur in June each year.
