Biography
I received my PhD from North Carolina State University in 2024, where I completed my undergraduate and graduate training and developed a strong interest in plant signal transduction and plant–environment interactions. During this time, I gained broad research and teaching experience, including a role in designing and executing NASA spaceflight experiments. My doctoral research focused on inositol hexakisphosphate kinases in Arabidopsis, examining how inositol pyrophosphate signaling regulates plant phosphate homeostasis.
I joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral researcher, where I study cytokinin signaling and abiotic stress tolerance in plants. My work includes identifying novel components of cytokinin signaling in Arabidopsis and investigating cytokinin-mediated salinity stress responses in rice. I am deeply committed to mentorship and teaching, and through the SPIRE fellowship, I aim to gain additional teaching experience as I work toward becoming an independent investigator.
