Frank Conlon, Ph.D.
I received my Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. During my graduate studies, I worked in the laboratory of Dr. Lori Raetzman where my project aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms by which the Notch signaling pathway regulates cell fate choice in the developing pituitary.
During my graduate studies, I developed a passion for understanding the fundamental mechanisms that underlie the processes of development. Now as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Frank Conlon’s laboratory I am focused on elucidating the molecular networks that govern early cardiac development.
As a SPIRE postdoctoral scholar, I am excited to combine my passions for scientific research and undergraduate teaching.
