SPIRE hosted Dr. Julio Ramirez as the speaker for the 2015 Distinguished Scholar Seminar along with 22 undergraduate students from SPIRE’s partner institutions. Students also participated in a networking luncheon, lab tours and presented research posters. Rachel Singley (North Carolina Central University) won the top poster prize/travel award.
The event was co-sponsored by the UNC Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the Departments of Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, the Gillings School of Global Public Health, and the UNC School of Medicine Office of Research.
