Jamie King, Ph.D. (undergraduate, NCA&T State University, graduate student at Emory University) successfully defended her dissertation “Roles of TTK Kinase in Breast Cancer Tumorigenesis” on April 11, 2018. Jamie was a summer research student in 2011 and was mentored by Christina Swanson, Ph.D. and Checo Rorie, Ph.D.
Drevon Dobson (undergraduate, NCA&T State University) has been accepted into and will be joining the doctoral program, Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP) at UNC Chapel Hill in Fall 2018. Drevon was a summer research student in 2017 and was mentored by Nik Stasulli, Ph.D. and Checo Rorie, Ph.D.
Edgar Quiroz-Olarte (Johnson C. Smith University) – is now a research intern with the Plant Pathways Elucidation Project, NC Research Campus and Dole Food Company, in Kannapolis, NC. Edgar was mentored by Christina Swanson, Ph.D. during our 2013 summer research program.
